The Acorn @ Kung Fu Necktie - tonight!

We can't always be in two places at once; but if we were in Philadelphia tonight, and we could be anywhere this evening we would be in the cozy back room of Kung Fu Necktie enjoying the laid-back and lovely Canadian sounds being made by our friends' in The Acorn. The group earlier this year put out their latest album "No Ghost" to fantastic reviews all around, and we've always felt very personally moved by Rolf Klausener's soft and tremulous vocals whenever we hear the pitter-patter of beats that swell in song to the group's crescendoing melodies all around them.

If you've ever wished to be hugged by the warm sound that a talented group makes when they come together, then The Acorn will be the band that you want to hear tonight. The new songs have also received kudos in the shape of remixes by acts Born Ruffians, Megafaun, and Four Tet. In the past two years, the group shared the stage with the likes of Elbow, Calexico, and Bowerbirds, getting the full not and performing a round of dates for their previous release "Glory Hope Mountain". Don't miss this chance to witness a wonderful group of people on an intimate stage tonight, doing what they do best: making music for your ears and your heart.
