Local favorites, The Cobbs will be playing at The Tin Angel tonight along with Melbourne, Australia (currently also calling NYC home) up-and-comers The Morning After Girls who have been compared to a mish-mash of Velvet Underground, Jesus & Mary Chain and The Byrds and will be playing a few comeback shows in the east coast market along with the west coast in LA. The showcase tonight will be a low-key affair which will call on stage members of both bands, including a surprise set by members of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club who have promised to be there as well. The Tin Angel is located at 20 S. 2nd Street in Old City, and will also play host to indie-rocker Evan Dando later this weekend as well... Visit the Tin Angel web site here.
