The Friggs played one of their most anticipated and high energy local Saturday night shows this past weekend at a Sugar Town sponsored event which was an evening not to be missed! Punk rock vigilantes, The Percocettes (who played the final slot of the evening), were even in awe of their rocking set, stating, "Sometimes you headline, and sometimes you go last--and tonight we play last. Give it up for The Friggs!" This reunion show was The Friggs' first appearance in almost ten years, and also marked the occasion for the release of "Today is Tomorrow's Yesterday" on CD (being distributed by PA's own Get Hip!), which includes rarities, singles, and some of The Friggs' most well-known songs on one limited-edition pressing. Although the on-stage energy was a bit nervous at first, the gals were well-warmed up by the end of their set (even coming back on for an encore after continuous loud shouting and applause) and the crowd cheered by singing along to their songs throughout. Favorites included, "I Thought You Said You Were Gonna Kill Yourself", "I CRINGE" and their two last numbers before encore; "Juiced Up" and "Bad Word For A Good Thing". The Slotcars opened, with dual female-fronted Thee Minks on second blasting the crowd, and mixing it up, with their fun and sassy retro-70s proto-punk vibe, and high-octane garage!
