The TV campaign office... the calls just keep coming!
To continue our healthy obsession with all things Weller and Weller-related here on Girl About Town, we'd like to give mad props to the newest (although well-seasoned) faces on the scene and cap-off the top of our posts with a loaded gun. It's Trio Valore; one of the most recent projects featuring one of the Best Drummers in the World right now; Mr. Steve White (Paul Weller, The Style Council, etc.), as well as Damon Minchella on bass (Ocean Colour Scene, Paul Weller, etc.) and Seamus Beaghan on Hammond organ (Supergrass, Babyshambles, Morrissey, etc.). The trio has a new single out that was only recently released on an Italian soul label based in Milan called Record Kicks (also available on iTunes). The band play only instrumentals here as no members were ever featured singers in the other projects they played in, but that certainly isn't a turn-off for the music being created in this case. The first single track is a fuzzed-out and splashy-soul number called "Put 'em Down" which will undoubtedly satisfy any fan of Booker T, or early-'Changing Man' (classic-era) ardent Weller fan. The production sounds open and amazing, and even the intriguing tongue-firmly-in cheek jazzed-up cover version of--they say Winehouse, we say Dap-Kings--smash-hit, "Rehab" deserves a nod and possibly space on an interesting mix tape for a friend who is unsuspecting of your own dubiousness. A full-length album by Trio Valore on Record Kicks is slated for a Fall release.
(Editor note: it should be noted that Whitey will not be drumming for Paul Weller for the 22 Dreams tour as the album includes newer contributors... not to say that they won't *gulp* hopefully be together again soon. What's the jam without the cheese, we ask faithfully...)

Seamus Beaghan also played/plays with Weller. Did the last tour with him, you'll notice he's in the liner notes for Catch-Flame! at the very least. Anyway, that's probably were they all met.
